Shrimp – Bottom Trawler Tour 2005

Resource - Greenpeace asset

Shrimp stock from a Shrimp factory on the Sunna Boat, taken from the Flemish Cap in the North Atlantic. Greenpeace has been documenting and protesting the high seas bottom trawl fleets in the NW Atlantic. Greenpeace is calling on governments to put in place a UN moratorium on highseas bottom trawling because it is an unsustainable fishing technique that has destructive impacts on the marine ecosystems and poses serious threats to deep sea fish species.
